Last Odyssey

Passives

Warriors live within their own context. To express this, and give them additional tactical depth, GMs can give them any passive ability granted by equipment upgrades. A number of examples of appropriate passive abilities are listed below.

Name Description
Elemental Immunity The warrior is immune to a given type of elemental damage.
Elemental Absorption When the warrior would take elemental damage, they instead regain either HP, MP, or Shell equal to the amount of damage they would have taken.
Status Immunity The warrior is immune to a single extra status.
Hollow Body The warrior takes damage from blessings, but is immune to colorless damage.
Hex Immunity The warrior is immune to two types of hexes.
Status Trigger When the warrior receives a certain status, they also receive another. For example, they start regenerating when Poisoned, or they become Focused when Taunted.
Revenge When the warrior is downed, they use an extra ability against the character who downed them.
Tough Hide The warrior must take at least 5 damage in order to receive any damage from any sources. This can be increased to 10 or 15 depending on how powerful the warrior is.
Handler There is another warrior on the battlefield that shares an AP pool with this one.
Reinforcements Every Effect Phase, cast 1d4. If the result is a 1, another of this warrior appears on the battlefield.
