Archetypes
I am I am I
Every Hero has a single archetype that represents the qualities that make them heroic, with each one being most associated with a single heroic virtue. At Hero creation, a Hero’s archetype determines their armor and weapon proficiencies. It also determines the statistic that their charm abilities in the Support role increase, as well as the statistic that their hex abilities in the Saboteur role decrease, and gives a bonus to the Hero’s Health, Mana, and Initiative. As players increase their Heroes’ tier, their archetypes will also provide abilities that can be used regardless of what role a Hero currently plays in combat. Additionally, archetypes provide talents to choose from which modify their existing abilities while they play the associated role. At tier 10, instead of unlocking a normal combat ability, a player will instead instead unlock a capstone ability that their Hero’s eidolon can use when summoned.
